Those in power run the risk of being enslaved by their desires

It’s a paraphrase of a line I heard. the idea is that as one gains wealth/power they become more free to satisfy desires.

It’s important to act with a level of restraint regardless of where you are in life.

The more you are in control of your desires, the less likely they will overtake you. Learn to let go. Perhaps learn when to let go
